Cutting & Serving Board Care
Follow these simple rules and your board will last a lifetime!
Hand wash only.
Use warm water and mild washing-up liquid.
Never submerge or use a dishwasher.
This can cause the board to crack or warp.
Dry immediately.
Wipe excess moisture with a dry towel and allow to air dry.
Deodorizing.
Remove stubborn odours or light stains using coarse rock salt and half a lemon, then rinse and dry.
Baking soda and water can be used to lift deeper stains.
Oiling and Conditioning.
Apply Board Butter every two to four weeks, or whenever water stops beading on the surface. Apply evenly and buff with a soft cloth.
Repairing Scratches.
Lightly hand-sand deep knife marks or rough spots using fine-grit sandpaper (moving with the grain), wipe away dust, and re-apply Board Butter.
